The basics
In using the eVillage Melbourne site, all members agree to abide by the rules of the site and the eVillage Melbourne Terms and Conditions.
eVillage Melbourne is internet-based and relies on valid email addresses. All members are asked to ensure their registered email addresses remain valid.
Posts that break any eVillage Melbourne rules will be edited or removed without warning and without explanation. Removed posts will not be reinstated under any circumstances.
eVillage Melbourne encourages sharing, conversation, debate, different perspectives, honesty, respect and integrity. Passion is welcome, aggression is not.
Any member who compromises the privacy or anonymity of other members or staff or who otherwise interferes with another member's quiet enjoyment of the site is not welcome at eVillage Melbourne. eVillage Melbourne rules
1. Posts of more than 3,000 words (even when split over more than one post) will not be accepted.
2. Obscene, abusive, sexist, racist, religiously bigoted, defamatory, malicious, innuendo-laden or otherwise inappropriate language is not welcome on this site. Posts that break this rule will be removed without notice, and users may be banned from the site.
3. Stalking, threatening, intimidating and other forms of harassment, arguments and slanging matches are equally unwelcome and will have the same consequences.
4. Keep your real name and your password private, unless you are participating in a forum event as a public figure. eVillage Melbourne reserves the right to remove individuals’ names for any reason and without justification, including if asked to by the individual or company concerned.
5. Do not include names, email/addresses, phone numbers or personal website
addresses/directions/usernames in your posts. This goes for your own details as well as those of others.
6. eVillage Melbourne will not pass on personal emails between members. All interactions should take place in the forums.
7. Respect. All members have the right to air their comments without fear of ridicule.
8. One username per person please. Multiple usernames are not permitted.
9. Correspondence between eVillage Melbourne community management and members is private and is not to be posted or discussed on the site.
10. Posts containing advertising, sponsorship or company contact details can only be allowed through prior arrangement with the Future Melbourne team. Please send through your request via Contact Us or go to www.futuremelbourne.com.au.
11. Private forums are subject to these rules unless otherwise stated.
